The National Department of Mineral Production – DNPM, an agency of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, is proud to present the twenty first  edition of the Mineral Summary, a sequential publication began in 1981. It is a reference work, putting together comprehensive information and statistical data collation, organized systematically, with analysis of the facts that explain the behavior of forty nine mineral commodities, representing over 90% of mineral production in Brazil.
I would like to make known our recognition to all those who made possible the conclusion of this work, in particular to those who, in their analysis of the mineral commodities, even though not in the staff of DNPM, contributed with ideas, suggestions and information.
